I have just been sent a lovely letter from the DVLA, who introduced photo ID driving licenses some time ago to tell me that my photo card should now be updated as it is ten years old.
The really sweet thing is that I am expected to pay for this! I didn't want a photo ID license in the first place and now they want me to pay for the photos, pay them £20 and pay the Post office to handle it: All for THEIR convenience!
I feel like telling them to F6CK it and carry on with my old license unless they want to pick up the tab.
I am a free man.

I still have the old paper one, also not willing to pay £20 to update to one of their new fangled ID cards.
